We are Gone Mobile Vans
How We Began
Gone Mobile Vans started the way a lot of good things do: with one person dreaming about building the perfect adventure van.
For Brendan, that dream turned into hours of research, too many videos to count, and plenty of conversations with his wife about what was possible. Then came the moment every van builder knows—the first cut. He was nervous cutting that first hole in his own van, but once he did, there was no going back.
Before long, he was helping other people do the same.
What started in the family driveway slowly grew into something bigger, until Brooke finally said what had become obvious: it was time to get a shop.
That step changed everything.
Leaving behind a full career in pyrotechnics to go all-in on Gone Mobile Vans was a leap for Brendan, but it was also a leap for the whole family. Today, GMV remains proudly family-run, and that is one of our greatest joys—getting to build something meaningful alongside the people we love.
The vans we build reflect that same philosophy: Simple, not featureless. Clean, not cluttered. Capable, but comfortable. Built for real adventure and real life, without going too deep into your wallet.
At the end of the day, GMV exists to create a base camp for your adventures—and we’re grateful this dream became part of our family’s story too.
Our Crew
-
Brendan has a rich background in pyrotechnics and special effects, where he spent over 30 years setting off explosives around the world. As the owner of Gone Mobile Vans, he collaborates closely with clients to create their ideal adventure vans. Brendan loves running the company because it allows him to work with great people and meet interesting clients every day. At GMV, he thrives on solving problems, building innovative projects, and fostering relationships with others.
In his free time, Brendan enjoys his new favorite hobby: fishing for trout in mountain lakes and streams. He is passionate about his family, building vans, and watching spectacular fireworks displays. Brendan is proud to share that he has visited 49 states and over 20 countries to set off fireworks, whether for major events or rock 'n' roll concerts. He even spent years traveling on a tour bus. -
Stephen worked as a general contractor before joining the Gone Mobile Vans team, bringing years of hands-on building experience with him. He enjoys the practical, problem-solving side of the work, but his favorite part of the job is getting to work alongside his brother, Brendan. Stephen brings steady experience and a no-nonsense approach to the shop each day. Outside of work, he would much rather be camping, and if given the choice, that is probably exactly where he’d be.

Brooke joined Gone Mobile Vans after a career in education, bringing with her a love of communication, relationship-building, and keeping lots of moving parts organized. As Brendan’s wife, she entered the family business cautiously, but somewhere along the way made herself completely indispensable to the team. She especially loves connecting with clients throughout the build process and helping them feel informed, supported, and excited from start to finish. Brooke brings warmth, follow-through, and a steady human touch to everything she does at GMV.

Before joining Gone Mobile Vans, Roy worked in new construction plumbing and now brings that expertise to the plumbing systems at GMV. He loves being part of something bigger than himself and takes pride in work that is both practical and meaningful. Outside the shop, Roy stays busy exercising, surfing, and taking photos, and he is deeply interested in health and wellness for the mind, body, and soul. He wants everyone to know that beneath it all, he used to be a "super nerd".

Luke previously worked as a logistics manager for a clothing company and now plays a key role in the final interior finish work at Gone Mobile Vans. He specializes in the details that bring each build together, from cabinetry and ceilings to trim, upholstery, and the polished touches that make a van feel complete. Luke brings a strong eye for craftsmanship and consistency to his work, helping ensure each interior looks as good as it functions. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, hiking, running, and writing poetry every day, which may or may not explain some of his artistic flair. He’d also like everyone to know that he’s a "funny guy."

Jack is currently studying construction technology at Orange Coast College and was drawn to Gone Mobile Vans by a longtime dream of building a van of his own. A natural builder from an early age, he grew up loving hands-on projects and still brings that same energy to the shop today. At GMV, he enjoys the hands-on work, especially installing heaters, and he is always excited to learn something new. He also has his eye on learning electrical in the future. Outside the shop, Jack spends time ranching and working with horses in Temecula.

Before joining Gone Mobile Vans, Fabricio worked as a mechanic, which gave him a strong foundation for hands-on, detail-oriented work. At GMV, he enjoys being part of the process of turning each van into a unique space someone can truly enjoy, especially since every project is a little different. He likes the variety of the work and the satisfaction of building something meaningful for others. Outside of work, Fabricio enjoys riding bikes, surfing, and spending time outdoors. He is also the proud dad of his daughter, Alice, who keeps life extra fun.

TC joined the Gone Mobile Vans family business in March 2026. As Brendan’s son, he values being part of a team that already feels familiar and sees the work as a meaningful way to contribute to something that has long been part of his life. He is especially excited to learn the plumbing and water systems side of van building and is eager to build both skill and confidence in the shop. Outside of work, TC enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, going to the gym, and playing tennis and soccer. On a Saturday morning, there’s a good chance he’s watching sports.

With a background in finish carpentry and full-scale custom home projects, Matt takes pride in building high-quality, functional spaces from the ground up. He loves working with his hands and enjoys the process of turning raw materials into something both beautiful and built to last.

Before joining Gone Mobile Vans, Trent worked in a surf shop in Laguna for three years and also spent time in window tinting, which helped sharpen the detail-oriented skills he brings to the shop today. At GMV, he loves the hands-on process of building vans and especially enjoys getting into a good flow state while creating something from the ground up. One of his favorite parts of the job is watching a van start to come together and suddenly look ready for adventure, even when there is still plenty left to do. Outside of work, Trent enjoys surfing, skateboarding, and spending time at church.
